Sometimes you may need to rerun automations on specific orders—whether you’re testing a new automation, correcting a mistake, or reapplying updated rules. VESYL makes this process simple and precise so you can ensure your workflows run exactly as intended.
Step 1: Navigate to the Orders Page
- Go to the Orders page in your VESYL dashboard.
- Select the order(s) you want to rerun automations on.
Step 2: Run Automations
- Once the orders are selected, look above the orders table.
- Click the Run Automations button.
- VESYL will immediately rerun all automations for just those selected orders.
When to Rerun Automations
- Testing New Rules: After creating or editing an automation, rerun it on a single order to confirm it behaves as expected.
- Correcting Orders: If an order was imported before an automation was created, rerun to apply the correct rules.
- Quick Fixes: Instead of re-importing an order, rerunning automations applies address verification, residential flagging, rate shopping, or service assignment instantly.
- Troubleshooting: Helps you identify if an automation is firing properly without affecting all orders.
Best Practices
- Test Before Applying Globally: Always rerun on a single test order before applying new automations across batches.
- Use With Filters: Filter orders (e.g., by status or carrier) and rerun automations only on those that need corrections.
- Check Logs: Review automation activity to confirm that the correct actions (like “Set Lowest Rate” or “Set Status”) were applied.
- Avoid Duplication: Make sure automations don’t stack conflicting rules when rerun. Adjust logic if needed.
Benefits of Rerunning Automations
- Flexibility: Apply automation rules selectively without reprocessing your full order list.
- Speed: Quickly fix or test shipping workflows.
- Control: Validate changes on a small scale before applying across all orders.
