How to Manage Carrier Accounts

Manage your shipping carrier accounts in VESYL to control which carriers are available across your warehouses. From connecting new carriers to assigning warehouses, updating account details, and managing manifest settings, you can configure your carrier accounts directly from your VESYL dashboard.

‍

How to Manage Carrier Accounts

Step 1: Navigate to Carrier Accounts

  1. Log in to your VESYL dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. Under Operations, select Carrier Accounts.

Here, you'll find a list of your connected carrier accounts, along with their connection status, manifest settings, assigned warehouses, and last connection date.

Step 2: Add a Carrier Account

To connect a new carrier account:

  1. Click Add + in the top-right corner.
  2. Select the carrier you want to add, such as UPS or FedEx.
  3. Follow the prompts to enter the required account information and complete the connection process.

Once connected, your carrier account will appear in the Carrier Accounts list.

Step 3: Manage Manifest Settings

You can enable or disable manifests for individual carrier accounts directly from the Carrier Accounts page.

  1. Locate the carrier account you want to update.
  2. Find the Manifests column.
  3. Toggle the setting on or off as required.

Review your carrier's manifest requirements before changing this setting to ensure it aligns with your shipping workflow.

Step 4: Assign Warehouses to a Carrier Account

You can control which warehouses are associated with each carrier account.

  1. Locate the carrier account you want to update.
  2. Click the three-dot menu (...) on the right-hand side of the row.
  3. Select Assign warehouses.
  4. Select or deselect the warehouses you want to associate with the account.
  5. Click Save assignments to apply your changes.

The assigned warehouses will appear in the Warehouse column for that carrier account.

Review these assignments carefully to ensure each warehouse has access to the appropriate carrier account.

Step 5: Rename a Carrier Account

If you manage multiple accounts with the same carrier, renaming them can make it easier to identify the correct account.

  1. Locate the carrier account you want to rename.
  2. Click the three-dot menu (...).
  3. Select Rename.
  4. Enter your preferred display name.
  5. Click Save.

Your updated display name will appear in the Carrier Accounts list, making it easier to distinguish between accounts.

Step 6: Edit Carrier Account Details

Some carrier accounts allow you to update their associated contact and address information.

  1. Locate the carrier account you want to edit.
  2. Click the three-dot menu (...).
  3. Select the relevant edit option, such as Edit UPS details.
  4. Update the required information.
  5. Click Save to apply your changes.

The available fields depend on the carrier. For example, UPS account details may include contact information, phone number, street address, city, state, postal code, and country.

Step 7: Disable or Delete a Carrier Account

If you no longer need a carrier account, you can manage its status from the three-dot menu.

To disable an account:

  1. Locate the carrier account.
  2. Click the three-dot menu (...).
  3. Select Disable.

The account's status will update to Disabled.

To delete an account:

  1. Locate the carrier account.
  2. Click the three-dot menu (...).
  3. Select Delete [Carrier] account, where available.
  4. Follow any confirmation prompts to complete the action.

Important: Disabling and deleting an account are different actions. Before making changes, check whether the account is assigned to any warehouses or used in your existing shipping workflows.
