VESYL Select applies a delivery area surcharge for select ZIP codes and a monthly indexed fuel surcharge based on U.S. Department of Energy pricing. Surcharges are reviewed and updated regularly. Check back each month for the latest rates.
Delivery Area Surcharge
A Delivery Area Surcharge (DAS) applies to shipments delivered to ZIP codes that fall outside the carrier's standard network coverage. This typically includes rural locations and areas that require additional time, distance, or resources to service.
DAS ZIP code lists are reviewed as frequently as every 30 days, and fees are subject to change as network coverage and operational costs evolve. VESYL Select will publish updates to the DAS ZIP code list as they occur.
Fuel Surcharge
Fuel costs directly impact transportation pricing. VESYL Select uses an index-based fuel surcharge system that adjusts monthly to reflect current market conditions. Surcharge rates are updated on the first Monday of each month, so the amount reflected on your invoice accurately tracks actual fuel prices.
The surcharge rate is calculated using the National U.S. Average On-Highway Diesel Fuel Price as reported by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), referencing the month two months prior to the adjustment date, rounded to the nearest cent.
Fuel surcharge percentages are subject to monthly adjustment and may change without notice. If the surcharge drops below 7.50% or rises above 14.50%, the table above will be updated to reflect the revised schedule.
