How to Search for and Manage Orders?

The Orders Page in VESYL gives you a central hub to quickly locate and manage shipments. Whether you’re tracking down a single customer’s order, verifying address details, or checking shipment status, the search and filter tools make it fast and efficient.

Using the Search Bar

The Search Bar is located at the top of the Orders page. You can search using:

  • Order ID – Enter the full or partial order ID from your eCommerce platform.
  • Customer Name – Search by first name, last name, or both.
  • Address Information – Enter street address, city, state, or ZIP/postal code.

Search results update instantly to show matching orders.

Filtering Orders for More Precision

In addition to the search bar, VESYL allows you to apply filters to narrow down results:

  • Order Status – (e.g., Ready to Ship, Unverified Address, Shipped, Canceled).
  • Carrier or Service – Quickly find shipments handled by USPS, UPS, FedEx, or other connected carriers.
  • Date Range – Useful for locating shipments within a specific timeframe.
  • Tags or Custom Filters – If you’ve applied tags or custom fields, you can filter by these too.

Filters can be combined with search for more precise results (e.g., “Orders shipped via USPS in the last 7 days for customer Smith”).

Interacting with Orders

Once you’ve located an order, you can:

  • View Shipment Details – Expand order info, including address validation, weight, and dimensions.
  • Buy or Print Labels – Complete fulfillment by purchasing and printing the shipping label.
  • Edit Address Information – Correct typos or update missing details to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Run Automations Again – Apply automation rules (e.g., recheck address or update service mapping).
  • Cancel or Refund Labels – Manage exceptions if a label needs to be voided.

Best Practices for Order Search

  • Use specific identifiers (like order ID or email address) for the fastest results.
  • Combine filters + search to cut through large volumes of orders efficiently.
  • Save frequent filters (e.g., “Unverified Orders”) for quicker access to recurring workflows.
  • Always verify address and service details before buying a label to avoid costly errors.
