VESYL uses order statuses to help you quickly understand where each shipment is in the fulfillment process. These statuses allow you to filter, organize, and act on orders efficiently—whether they’re brand new, ready for a label, or already completed.
How to Filter by Order Status
- Navigate to the Orders Page.
- At the top right, click on Statuses.
- Deselect any statuses you don’t want to view.
- VESYL will update the list to only show orders with the statuses you’ve selected.
You’ll also see a count of orders in each status, giving you a snapshot of where your workload stands.
Order Status Types Explained
VESYL has six statuses, each representing a different stage of an order’s lifecycle:
- Open – The order has been imported into VESYL but no shipping service has been applied yet. These typically need review, address validation, or automation to assign a carrier/service.
- Ready to Ship – The order has a verified address and a shipping service assigned. Labels can now be purchased individually or in batch.
- Completed – A label has been purchased and the order has been shipped. Tracking numbers will be available, and the shipment can be managed from the Shipments Page.
- Canceled – The order has been canceled, either manually or through automation. Canceled orders cannot be shipped unless re-imported.
- Skipped – The order was ignored or skipped during automation (for example, if no rules applied or a service was not available). These should be reviewed to determine why they didn’t process normally.
- Unknown – The order didn’t meet standard processing rules and requires manual review. This may happen with unusual addresses, incomplete data, or unsupported service mappings.
Best Practices for Managing Statuses
- Prioritize “Open” orders first to ensure nothing gets stuck before shipping.
- Use filters to create a daily workflow—e.g., check “Ready to Ship” before batching labels.
- Regularly review Skipped and Unknown statuses to troubleshoot gaps in automation or missing data.
- Use automation rules to move orders smoothly between statuses (e.g., assigning a service moves “Open” → “Ready to Ship”).
With clear order statuses and filters, VESYL helps you stay organized, avoid errors, and streamline fulfillment.
