When a product’s weight changes—due to updated packaging, dimensional changes, or other reasons—you need accurate recalculations to ensure correct shipping rates and avoid potential shipping errors or surcharges.
Steps to Recalculate Order Weight
- Navigate to the Orders Page
- From your dashboard or main navigation, go to Orders and locate the specific order you need to edit.

- Enter Edit Mode for the Order
- Click Edit for the relevant order to access all editable fields.

- Use the Calculator Tool to Update Weight
- Scroll down to the Weight field.
- Click the Calculator icon/button beside the weight input—this action recalculates and updates the total order weight automatically.
- Scroll down to the Weight field.
What this impacts (at a glance)
Shipping rates & service options depend on accurate weight. Missing/incorrect weight can block rate calculation and keep an order from moving out of “Open” status.
Quick tip
Packaging weight: If you include box weight in totals, update it separately (Boxes → Edit → Box Weight) so recalculated totals remain accurate.
